Polish baked ribs in the baking dish.

Ingredients

  • pig’s ribs
  • salt & pepper
  • red sweet paprika
  • ground garlic
  • marjoram

Cut the ribs into single pieces.

Rub well with salt and pepper, paprika, garlic and marjoram. Cover with cling foil and cool in refrigerator for 2 hours or – the best – for the whole night, so that the seasoning gave flavor to the meat.

Place in the baking dish and bake uncovered in low temperature (150 C/ 300 F) for 2 hours.

The fat will melt and you will get soft and juicy, full of flavors meat for dinner:)

I love Polish baked ribs served with mashed potatoes and a simple salad, like mizeria or young cabbage salad.

  1. So nice to see this polish low ‘n slow rib recipe on line! This is the only way my family has ever made ribs! My friends can’t believe how tender they are compared to bbq ribs! Ours is always eaten with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut on top, but my polish family always put just a touch of brown sugar in the Kraut to take away the sour taste.

  2. Aleksandra,

    Is there telepathy here?
Did you somehow know that I bought ribs at the farmers market on Saturday and was thinking that I needed to cook them soon?
Such a coincidence that your email arrived when it did.
As always I shall let you know how things go when I cook it.
There may be herbs from the garden too. Lovage and Winter Savory are in much of my cooking now. Many other exotic herbs too.

    Paul:-)
