Fresh Kiełbasa in Horseradish Sauce is an easy and so delicious dish. If you have a pack of fresh kiełbasa in a fridge it would take just half an hour or so to make it. I just love it with mashed potatoes. You don’t need to add a thing to potatoes, as they would become perfectly delicious from the horseradish sauce. A dill is a great finish. Don’t skimp on dill:)
Ingredients
- 4 fresh raw kiełbasa
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons grated horseradish
- 1 cup heavy cream (30% whipping cream)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped dill for garnish
Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and lightly golden. Stir in the grated horseradish and sauté for about a minute. Add the flour and mix well to create a smooth paste. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
Add kiełbasa to the sauce and simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the sausages are tender and heated through.
Serve Fresh Kiełbasa in Horseradish Sauce sprinkled with chopped dill as garnish.
Enjoy your meal! Smacznego!
Instead of fresh horseradish you can use horseradish from the jar, which should be available in a European delis.
