Breaded Chicken Breast Cutlets

My mom used to called them schabowe made of chicken;) My kids called them flat cutlets:) Let me present a kids and adults favorite- Breaded Chicken Breast Cutlets:) They are easy to make and delicious.

Breaded Chicken Breast Cutlets served

Ingredients

  • 2-3 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

Clean and trim the chicken breasts, removing excess fat and membranes. Cut chicken breast into cutlets of same thickness. They can be of different sizes, exactly as you like. Season them with salt and pepper.

Set up three separate bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.

Dip each piece of chicken first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, ensuring an even coating on each cutlet.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken cutlets on both sides until golden brown and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on the size). After cooking, place the cutlets on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

Enjoy delicious homemade Breaded Chicken Cutlets served with boiled and mashed potatoes and your favorite seasonal salad. In Winter I like them with Carrots and Peas Stew or: with Beet Salad.
